The G.I. Joe movie franchise’s future gets an optimistic update from Snake Eyes star Henry Golding. Based on the beloved toy line, the first live-action G.I. Joe movie was released in 2009, proving successful enough to warrant a sequel, which hit theaters in 2013. Golding stepped into the role of Snake Eyes in the 2021 movie of the same name, but the film was a disappointment both critically and commercially. The future of the franchise had been somewhat in question until the end of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, which teases a crossover.
In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Golding shares an update about the future of G.I. Joe. While the actor doesn’t reveal any firm information, he expresses faith in Paramount’s plans for the franchise. Check out his comment below:
“I mean, Lorenzo di Bonaventura is a busy man and a phenomenal producer, and it’s in safe hands. Whatever happens, I think it’s going to be a combination of what has come and what is to come. I think Paramount have some grand, grand plans.”
More to come…
