The upcoming remake of The Crow has been delayed to late summer. The movie, which was directed by Snow White and the Huntsman‘s Rupert Sanders, stars It and Barbarian‘s Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven, the vengeful undead musician made famous by the 1989 James O’Barr comic book limited series of the same name and the original 1994 Alex Proyas movie adapting the story, which starred the late Brandon Lee. The cast of the remake also includes FKA Twigs as Shelly Webster, Laura Birn, Danny Huston, Sami Bouajila, Isabella Wei and Jordan Bolger.
Per Deadline, the The Crow release date has been pushed back by more than two months. After Lionsgate has adjusted their release schedule for several of their upcoming titles, the movie will now debut in theaters on August 23. Its original release date was June 7, the same day as the release of the legacy sequel Bad Boys: Ride or Die, which stars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith.
