Why Fantastic Four’s Filming Update Is Good News For The MCU

The Fantastic Four Movie Has Faced Lots Of Delays Since Its Development Was Announced.

With the casting seemingly on track, the fact that
The Fantastic Four
is finally getting closer to shooting the film is a big win for the MCU.

To say that The Fantastic Four is one of the most highly anticipated movies in The Multiverse Saga is an understatement, given a lot of the shake-ups at Marvel Studios over the last few years. Following the recent addition of Ralph Ineson as Galactus in The Fantastic Four, there are likely a few more roles lined up for the film before filming gets underway. With the casting seemingly on track, the fact that The Fantastic Four is finally getting closer to shooting the film is a big win for the MCU.

Despite being the first film to kick off Phase 6, The Fantastic Four was initially eyed to happen during Phase 4, but the global COVID-19 pandemic played a big part in its delay. Between the shift from Jon Watts to Matt Shakman, it also took quite some time for the screenplay to come together before they were able to land their actors. As there have been a lot of filming issues for other MCU projects throughout Phases 4 and 5, seeing The Fantastic Four finally getting closer to becoming a reality is a breath of fresh air.

Hopefully, with the way that The Fantastic Four is shaping up, all the other Phase 6 movies and TV shows will be able to follow suit, especially as it will be the final part of The Multiverse Saga. With Marvel’s First Family likely being eyed to play crucial roles in the MCU going forward, it will be exciting to see what else they have in store, such as additional actors and characters. Hopefully, with the movie now being two months away from filming, some big announcements will be on their way before that.
