  • Kevin Feige hints at a bigger role for street-level heroes like Daredevil in the MCU, setting up a potential crossover.
  • Spider-Man 4’s possible storyline could involve Kingpin’s mayoral run in New York, leading to superheroes being outlawed.

Spider-Man 4 fan art pitches Peter Parker teaming up with multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe street heroes for a showdown against Kingpin. Since the end of 2021, Spider-Man’s MCU timeline hasn’t moved forward in any way, as the status of the web-slinger has been massively ambiguous. While Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios are looking to continue Peter Parker’s story in the MCU, time will tell when his next movie will actually happen.

With a handful of updates on Spider-Man 4 over the last year having emerged, the world is patiently waiting to see what is being planned for Tom Holland’s Marvel hero. One proposition that some fans want to see is a live-action adaptation of Marvel’s Devil’s Reign, with Solo Authority sharing artwork for what that could look like in Spider-Man 4.

The Spider-Man: Devil’s Reign fan art imagines Holland’s Spider-Man forming an alliance with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Jon Bernthal’s Punisher, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, and Hailee Steinfeld’s Hawkeye against Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin. The artwork also features Zendaya’s M.J. Watson, Jacob Batalon’s Ned Leeds, J.K. Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson, along with the introduction of Scorpion and Black Cat.

10 Street-Level MCU Heroes We Want To See Team Up In Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 has the perfect setup to be a street-level event, and there are some heroes who would be perfect to help Peter Parker.

Why Devil’s Reign Would Be Perfect For Spider-Man Because Of This MCU TV Show

Ever since his cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Kevin Feige has made it clear that Spider-Man and Daredevil will be the leading forces of the street heroes in the MCU, as Cox’s second era in the franchise is getting bigger than ever. Set to headline his own MCU show again, Cox will next be seen in Daredevil: Born Again in 2025 on Disney+, with D’Onofrio’s Kingpin also set to be a main player. While plot points are being kept under wraps, Daredevil: Born Again is potentially doing a variation or setting up Devil’s Reign.

Based on set photos from the Daredevil: Born Again TV show, the MCU is seemingly driving towards having Kingpin run for mayor of New York. If Daredevil: Born Again season 1 ends with Wilson winning the election, it could directly have ramifications in Spider-Man 4, especially if Kingpin makes superheroes outlawed in the city. That would make for a good case for why Daredevil could show up in Spider-Man 4, which has been a heavily favored theory by the MCU audience.

If Spider-Man 4 ended up being Spider-Man: Devil’s Reign, this could also serve as a proper reason for having other major street heroes take part in the story. The idea of The Defenders could essentially get a soft reboot through this movie, with Spider-Man now having a big role within the team. Hopefully, before 2024 is over, more news on Spider-Man 4 will be revealed by Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios.
