Following his breakout role in Call Me by Your Name, for which he received his first Oscar nomination, Chalamet went on to collaborate with Greta Gerwig on Lady Bird and Little Women, and has quickly become one of the most sought-after stars of his generation. Recently, Chalamet led back-to-back box office hits, both for Warner Bros., by starring as the titular chocolatier in Wonka and as Paul Atreides in Dune: Part Two.
Now, as reported by Variety, Chalamet has signed a multi-year deal with Warner Bros. to star in and produce projects for the studio.
Under the first-look deal, Chalamet can still make movies with other studios, though Warner Bros. will have first dibs on any potential projects. After signing the deal, Chalamet and the co-chairs and CEOs of the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, shared the following statements:

What Timothée Chalamet’s Warner Bros. Deal Means
It’s currently unclear what projects Timothée Chalamet’s deal with Warner Bros. will include, though it’s clearly the type of exclusive deal reserved for the most prominent figures in Hollywood.
Chalamet’s deal with Warner Bros. comes after leading back-to-back box office hits for the studio. With Wonka and Dune: Part Two, Chalamet became the first actor in 45 years since John Travolta (Saturday Night Fever and Grease) to star in two of the highest-grossing movies within eight months of each other. This has made Chalamet one of the most prominent stars of his generation, and it was a no-brainer for Warner Bros. to lock him into a long-term contract.

Under their new deal, Warner Bros. is not only showing tremendous confidence in Chalamet as an actor, but also as a producer.
